2012 Spring Bear hunting Manitoba
Well we finished another great spring hunting season with huge success in spite of the worst weather imaginable for bear hunting. It rained, poured, the winds blew, it got very cold, froze over nights, even snowed some! But the hunters and our staff pushed through and we brought home bears each day. Our baiting regime, ingredients and the rut all helped keep some bears on the move. In fact all the bears were boars except for 2 dry sows. We had 14 hunters this spring and we killed 13 bears, because 1 hunter hunted hard for a big smart boar he seen on Monday, which he seen again on Tues, but then disappeared. Can't blame a guy for trying, just wasn't in the stars for him this year. 100% opportunity and mostly very poor weather.
We hired a new guide this spring, Eric, who has hunted bears for more than 20 yrs, and is a professional taxidermist. I can tell ya having a pro skinner in camp makes a hunter's day. Check out our new photos on the bear gallery, some good looking bears. 40% color phase all together for this spring.
Big plans for this fall hunt, stay tuned and see some great photos and stories.

It takes a lot of thought and time to keep the content on my website interesting, relevant and useful. It also requires years of experience and trial and error learning the craft, gaining knowledge from doing things both right and wrong way. I feel compelled to write about some of these topics for.....

Avoid Toronto airport if you are flying to Canada! Especially avoid Air Canada.
They are not hunter freindly.
