Another great week of bear hunting
Fantastic is the word for how well our hunts are coming together. I have to say we have some very good people/hunters hunting with us this year which makes for a great fun filled season. But man the bears are also very good. We have been bringing home as many bears whole (not gutted) but due to logistics and SIZE we could not get the latest bruin home whole. In fact it had to be skinned in the bush. It is a monster in every way. It measured 7' 2" long and 7' 6.5" wide. It is estimated at at least 600lbs and will be a Boone and Crocket bear. Very nice bear with plenty of character wound scars.
Another bear in camp weighed 345 lbs and has a big skull too that will likely go Pope and Young. It was 6' 3" square.
Another was a bit smaller but a nice bear just the same, which made for 3 bears in 2 days.
I posted a few pics, take a look at our photos page
