Belated Congrats Clara
Last fall 2023 Clara harvested her first Whitetail! I failed to post pictures, a common trend for me, sorry.
While sitting in the blind she heard it walking behind, and once it appeared only a few yards beside us, the excitement began. We let it walk off about 50 yards before we moved and carefully she opened the window and steadied her rifle. At about 100 yards it stopped perfectly broadside and she zipped one shot into his vitals dropping him right at the edge of the field. Shaking with tears of excitement she claimed " I got him". I was not surprised as she is a great shot but we all know how buck fever can make the sight picture on a real live animal move more than usual. So very proud of her. (Note: this fall 2024 she passed on a few smallish bucks early in the season not knowing our hunting days would be fewer than normal, so she has only a tag to hang on the wall.)

There is that famous "buck down smile" of hers. Lily has shot many deer, her biggest was in 2021 but this one is a dandy too.
