my 2 pups

Here are my 2 pups. One for retriever training, and one for kid protection, yard cleaning. We live along rivers which are natural travel routes for critters big and small, so an oversize German Shepard works well. This little 5 month old 55lb "cub" should grow into his former bosses role. Bosco was a very smart dog and knew his job. This little guy already tries to look and sound BIG as he patrols the perimeter reacting to sounds and smells. He is in the wonky ear stage.
Retriever training is not that easy, as it is my first time starting from a pup. So far, keeping everything short and fun is working. Book say, not to overdo it for first while. If i can manage to not screw it up, this weimeraner lab cross should hunt, she's got a helluva nose!
It is very difficult training 2 pups at the same time, but after awhile the rewards start to show when they all get it right. Basic commands are going very very well. The more time i spend with each one individually, the faster they learn.

That line between our respective tracts of soil means nothing to the animals we pursue, as it does not to us.

There is that famous "buck down smile" of hers. Lily has shot many deer, her biggest was in 2021 but this one is a dandy too.

the great times chasing these intelligent beasts. His age and size has sausage written all over it, not steaks haaa.
