Snow days of waterfowl 2017

It came very suddenly and it was though we forgot what late October can bring here in Manitoba. The weather went from balmy warm fall progression to "get your long underwear on" winter is here! The boats froze stiff in the channel overnight so we opted for some field action. The rest of the week was similar with cold ice snow the words describing each day. Not perfect conditions but still better than last years torrential rains. This was inconvenient but manageable.
The white camo proved worthy against the snow covered wheat fields as our previously valuable well dressed layout blinds stuck out of place now. Goose chairs also worked well with magnum decoys and full bodies.

That line between our respective tracts of soil means nothing to the animals we pursue, as it does not to us.
