wow another June flood?
It rained darn near 5 inches the past 3 days! And being located in the basin by the lake at the mouth of the Valley River, means we get a lot of water in a hurry. Especially when every dam field to the west of us is ditched and trenched. Seems like every farmer has a back hoe and a bulldozer these days. Knocking down bush and digging ditches to drain the potholes, all for more land to seed. Can't blame them as more seedable acres equals more money. But there has to be a balance too, doesn't there? I mean trees and marshes are nature's filters and once they are gone we all lose. Critters also rely on those small ecosystems for survival, period. Too bad we are so short sighted and caught up in this terrible race to get ahead so badly. We are wrecking the very thing that gives us life. Oh well, i know there are some who criticize my business too, none of us are perfect. I blame big business and government fools.
If only i could buy weather insurance for my industry, it would help hedge my bets.
Stay dry, if not get wet to the ear balls.

That line between our respective tracts of soil means nothing to the animals we pursue, as it does not to us.

There is that famous "buck down smile" of hers. Lily has shot many deer, her biggest was in 2021 but this one is a dandy too.
